I’ve always loved indulging in self care. Wether it’s taking care of my skin, hair, nails or investing in treatments. I guess it goes without saying that prepping for my wedding day was no exception.
I always knew I wanted to do my own hair and make up for the big day. Being a professional ballerina it is an essential part of my job, and the thought of someone doing something I wouldn’t feel comfortable in felt wrong.
The months leading up to the wedding I had my regular facials and also added a couple of hydro-facials. I made sure I exfoliated regularly and moisturized vigorously.
Since our wedding was in the peek of summer in the south of Spain I knew it was going to be hot. I planned my makeup look accordingly with my goal set at flawless skin with minimal foundation.
Planning a wedding in the middle of a raging pandemic is not exactly stress free and therefore not the best combination for stress reactive skin.
In the past I have had wonderful results taking the Klarskin Radiance Powder.
When I added it to my wedding preparation routine it made a world of difference!
My stress levels were higher than ever before the last weeks leading up to the big day, and I can honestly say I have never had better skin than on my wedding day. It also helped my digestion tremendously, especially being in the south of Spain eating a diet different from what I usually eat.
I have gone into detail on my full routine on the day of the wedding below in the hopes that it gives insight to any brides to be!
My routine on the day of my wedding:
I woke up next to Michael. I had initially planned on stay the night at my parents place true to tradition, but last minute I opted for staying the night with Michael instead. He truly is my safe haven and his energy was exactly what I needed the morning of our wedding. I genuinely recommend this to any becoming bride it out there.
I then went on to do my daily yoga routine on the rooftop of the hotel we were staying at, followed by writing some personal letters to my bridesmaids and my family.
After this I had a long breakfast with my maid of honor Karin, that I hadn’t seen for a year. We had a traditional Spanish breakfast and a lot of catching up to do.
We then headed off to my parents place were my bridesmaids and my dear friend and wedding dress designer and tailor, Lennart Radtke, were getting ready. The vibe in the apartment was very relaxed, just the way I needed it.
As for my skin care on my wedding day, I kept it simple.
- I took the Radiance Powder daily in the lead up to the day.
- I used Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum and my all time favorite Cicaplast Gel B5 by La Roche-Posay.
For my makeup I used:
- Charlotte Tillbury Light Wonder and Airbrush Flawless Foundation,
- Airbrush bronzer and Pillowtalk eye pallet
- Path McGrath concealer
- Benefit 24h brow gel
- Caia Cosmetics glowstick and waterproof mascara
- Glossier Cloud Paint in Eve
- Dior Lip Glow in Mahogany.
So, long story short. If you’re a bride to be looking to improve your overall health and skin, I cannot recommend the Radiance Powder enough.
